Safely Developing Confidence, Competence and Fun!

Experienced and ICP Certified

Owner/Trainer Lora Kutteroff is an advanced level rider with more than 30 years experience bringing young, mostly off-the-track thoroughbreds up the eventing ladder to become "solid citizens". One of the first to be certified through the USEA ICP Certification program, Lora enthusiastically draws on proven methods, no matter where they originate. Her systematic program uses the best of the classical dressage training pyramid,  American jumping style and  natural horsemanship along with a good helping of common horse sense. The most important element in her program is the time she takes to develop your understanding, both of your actions and your horses responses. Having done it all, from foxchasing to hunter/jumpers, to equitation, dressage and advanced three-day, even a bit of steeple chasing, Lora is exceptionally good at teaching  the skills required to be a safe, competent, confident rider and competitor.

Training keeps your horse one step ahead.

Imagine how frustrating it is to try and give direction to someone who doesn't speak the language.  Well, that's exactly what's happening in riding when you're unsure how to ask, and your horse has no clue as to what you're asking for. That's where good, effective  training can speed your progress. By getting your horse prepared for the conversation, when you learn to ask properly he'll already know how to get there! Often it's a great help to combine training and a lesson in one session, so you can know what it's supposed to feel like when your horse is properly balanced and prepared to get where you want to go.

Individual Attention

We offer only private or semi-private sessions of three or less. No large group lessons. ASTM Certified helmets and boots are required. Body protectors are  recommended for jump lessons
